I recently installed a sound blaster sound card and discovery that my games would after a short time would close and go to the desk top. I used the restore function on windows xp and am now get and error 39 message and also a cant find DDRAW.DLL message. I have tryed to restore it to several different date but it continues to say that can't preform the operation and that no changes have been made. Would appricate some help.

Try downloading or reinstalling directx 9a from microsoft.

Sounds like a DirectX fault. Try upgrading to DirectX 9.0a.

If that doesn't clear it try installing latest drivers for your sound
and graphics cards.
