I bot a Dell 2350 w/Windows XP in May. I have in the past
burnt CD's w/Easy CD Creator on this system. I tried to
burn on Sunday and couldn't. I am using Memorex 700 mb/40
x discs. In Easy CD it says CD is not right media type. In
Windows Media Player in the left hand column it says "will
not fit" also when I put a CD in Drive E it continues to
ask me to put in a CD. I can however, play a Audio CD.
These are mp3 files I'm trying to burn. I even tried to
burn one that I burned in the past. So it reads but does
not write. I have called Dell and have uninstalled and
reinstalled the Drive E, uninstalled and reinstalled Easy
CD, run a diagnostics test on the drive, and run the
repair feature on XP operating system. Tonight they want
me to completely rerun Windows XP which will delete all of
my files and I really don't want to back all that up if I
don't have to. Can anyone pleaseeeee help me!! I have
tried to list everything I've done to make it easier.
Thanks in advance!

The simple fix,remove easy cd.
Easy cd isnt needed in xp,youre downgrading the XP tech-
nology.Uninstall easy.then open wmp,tools,options,in the
file types tab,select all,close-out.Restart computer
That should work, but haveing had easy, who knows.
