Windows XP CD/RW problem

Hi Guys,
having probs with my cd drive.Can play music ok but trying to install a program-it will start up install part of disc then stop without any reason(system not responding).Running Windows XP on AMD Athlon XP3000 and trying to install Office XP.Will install on my other PC without any problems :crazy: CD driver is an AtapiRW 52XMax.

... and the CDROM drive is a ???

Have a look, go to their website and see if they have a 'Firmware' update for the drive, easy to install, some CDROM drives like an Acer needed a patch to work correctly with XP.

Oops sorry Nero v.5. Have downloaded updates already.
