I am trying to install a Liteon CD-RW LTR-52327S in an Antec SX800II.

The bay is designed for a 5 1/4" wide drive. The bay is 5 7/8 " wide.
However the drive itself is 5 3/4" wide.
When I install the drive rails, I cannot get the drive in the bay.

With the design of the bay, this is no way to screw the drive directly in
the bay.

Can anybody suggest a method to install the drive?
Thank you in advance

Something seems strange. Are you sure you have the correct rails and that
you are installing them correctly?

method 1 :

using precision measuring instruments
coupled with your well stocked tool room and 15 years experience
as a machinist /mechanical engineer...
you simply need to cut down the existing bracket and modify it to
fit accordingly

method 2 :

duct tape a popsicle stick to each side
and keep wrapping the tape around until the thing fits in there so snugly
it won't move around...

Is this what they call "Polish engineering?"
