CD Roms

I am having a problem with my cd rom drives. they both
only open and recongize a blank cd and a dvd movie. all
other data and music cd will not open and says that the
format may not work with windows, even though I wrote the
data on pc...
 
Were these disks burned on your pc or on a different pc? What software was
used to burn the disks? Were they finalized when you were done burning your
music or data? Did you use UDF packet writing or just burn a conventional
cd like for music?
