help i am in a vicious circle.i tried to download updates from the update site but i could not so microsoft sent me a cd rom,but now i can't play any cd rom's or dvd's or cd's.when i go to device manager to unistall it i just get amessage this programme is not responding, i then get a message to close the programme and then a nother to go to the update site.if i try to get up the properties in device manager the same thing happens.if i go to my computor and access the drive from there,when i try to get the properties up the same thing happen.i download microsoft baseline security analyser and that is telling me that my computor is at a critical stage and sends me to the update site. i have even tried to reboot but that doesn't help.please help me.
