CD Rom & Video in PP presentations

Can someone advise how we can incoporate CD Rom into the presentation, I would also like to insert different video segments as titles but they appear as icons which are too small to view, if we enlarge it then it occupies the full page. Can the video open in a separate window? Thanks in advance
 
Can you explain further about what you mean by incorporate CD Rom into a

You are probably linking to videos or inserting them as objects if you see
them only as icons on a slide - here's more info on iserting videos in
