CD-Rom Tray does not open

Hey,

I am unable to open my CD-ROM drive tray to put CD's into
it. XP says it's running fine, but the tray will not
open. It does open if I manually. I would return this
drive, but I returned one last week for the same reason,
so I think it has to be something in the system. Does
anyone have any ideas about this problem?

I don't.

But I have a question - what is the advantage of using software to open a CD
drive to put in a CD over using the button on the front of the drive?
