CD-ROM problems!!!

Hi Folks,
I have a CD-ROM drive that test fine in every area.
1)Except it doesn't recognize or play any CD
(though 1 month ago it worked fine)
2)I've tried everything so far to fix it
3)In my windows error log, it says there's a bad block
4)Your help is needed, Thanks Mike

Tried updating your drivers via there website?, Or even a windows update
aswell looking for drivers. Full scan disk?. Disabled it and enabled it
through device manager/bios to see if that helps even?. You could upgrade
the firmware also but it's best you read how to do this and flash it proper.
