For some strange reason I just recently am getting a
window popping up after I insert a CD into my CD-Rom. It
says. The Disk is not formatted. Do you want to format it.

Any ideas?

Are you sure that you have a good CD? Have you tried cleaning the
CD Drive's lens?

Yes, I already did the clean thingy and the CD-Rom can
play music however, it will not read anything else without
that message popping up.

If you want to repeat your message in multiple newsgroups, then
cross-post your message. Then replies in one newsgroup get linked to
your posts in other newsgroups; else, you will have to bounce around the
newgroups to see which copy of your same post got a response that helps.
You posted this same message in microsoft.public.win2000.hardware where
I answered it there. Don't know if it applies to you, though. Depends
on whether or not you use a UDF writer/reader utility, like DirectCD or
InCD.
