I installed Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Since
installation, I had trouble with my mouse freezing, and
it not recognizing my CD-ROM. I bought a Logitech
optical mouse, and it seemed to actually work better, but
it still freezes. I noticed that my CD-ROM wouldn't
recognize the CD to load the actual drivers for the
mouse. The CD-ROM doesn't recognize any CD I put in it.
Does anyone out there have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Mel

Download this fix to fix missing Cd drives or drives with error 39
etc:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cd_dvd_fix.htm. Download
the vbs
script file, double click it and click yes when prompted. You will
need to
reboot for the changes to take effect.
