My D:/ is missing. I can't get software to install or play and burn any cd's.
I need someone to walk me through how to get it back.

LOL
that sounds familiar!

Did you....
open up your computer recently
move it slightly
clean it out
tap it
or something like that

Or try this:
open the drive
insert a CD
does it make a humming noise?
If it does, i got a solution!

Solution:
Open up the side panel on the computer
take out the bus, and all the power suppplies and other cords, and put
them back in their proper locations.
MAKE SURE THAT THEY FIT !!!!TIGHT!!!!
put the side back on the computer
and enjoy a fixed drive!

First: Check that the ribbon cable (both ends) and the power cable are
connected securely.

Second: Check that the computer sees the drive <Control
Panel><System><Hardware><Device Manager> (DVD CD ROM Drives)

Thanks so much after reading your message of the error codes and the Easy CD
Creator I knew that is what the problem is. I deleted it by accident. Any
way I will try this in a few, and see how it goes.
Once again Thanks.
