cd rom drives not working

My cdrom drives stoped working all of a suden. When i
look in device manager it says that the drivers are
missing or currupted. I tried uninstalling are
reinstalling the drives but that diddn't work. I don't
have my xp cd cuz i can't find it.

Hello

Well cdrom's work using a virtual driver in windows so
you really donot have to install anything but see link below
and it maybe help you and then it may not, but give it a try

Hey I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to
the microsoft knowledge database and look up article #
314060. Be sure to follow it really careful. It worked
great for me.
