I was using both of my CD-ROM drives last night everything
was working fine. I shut my computer down with no hassle
too. However, when I came to listen to a music CD today, I
found that NEITHER of my CD-ROM drives were available
under "My Computer"!
I have used the troubleshooter and checked the device
manager, for D: it says -
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its
configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete
or damaged. (Code 19)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this
device.
and for E: I get the same message.
I've tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them like
the troubleshooter suggests, but it didn't work. The
troubleshooter then basically says there's nothing else I
can do.
I've tried restarting my computer but that didn't help
either.
Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to get my CD-
ROM drives running again?
