Hello everyone,
this is my problem...I have a compaq presario 900 notebook with windows XP,
now the thing is when I place audio CD's and CD-Roms in the drive I hear it
trying to start up then stop then try to start up again but then nothing
happens. So from there I go to the start menu and go to RUN and try to start
it that way, then a message says please insert disc. When I place a DVD into
the drive it starts up without a problem (most of the time), I have checked
the device manager and looked in the DVD/CD-ROM drives as well as the Disk
Drives and it says it function properly. I have been searching the post
trying to find one that I can piggy back off and the only one I saw suggested
that I uninstall the drivers and then restart my computer, once the computer
has been restarted XP should automatically reinstall them. Please help
because I don't want to make the problem worse... I thank everyone in advance
for taking the time out to read my request for help.
Thanks.....
