After following the instructions on 314060 for missing or
corrupt files (Code 39)I rebooted my computer and the CD
Rom and CD Burner were listed under my computer. The CD
spun up and when I tried to open the program my computer
froze and I had to reboot again. Now they are gone
again.Under Device Manager the message I get know is that
the CDROM and Burner are disabled (Code 22). When I try
to enable them I get a message that devices are normally
disabled when not working properly or causing a resourse
conflict. The device problem troubleshooting wizard gives
me a message that Windows was not able to enable this
device. I would really appreciat some one to help me get
this fixed. Thanks in advance.

Hi "Joe", I've a had similar problems and found that the
jumper settings on the CDROM "or" the CD-RW were the
culprits, along with improper CMOS settings ... I know its
rudimentary BUT is this something you've considered? Also,
I would be sure that my devises ARE where they're suppose
to be on the ribbon ... just a thought Joe
Luck eh
Steve
