CD-R\RW drive E:\

1 year old HP Pavilion304w, XP homeSP1a, CyberDrv CW058D.

error: "E:\ is not accessible incorrect function" when i
try to save a file to CD. Device Manager says everything
is peachy. Digital Audio is unchecked and disabled in
services. It will read from a CD. Tried driver updates and
rollbacks and the Troubleshooter is a sad joke. A google
search for similiar stuff turned up very little...

Any ideas?

Both of these are a bit of a stretch, but . .

check your connections to E:

In December I was at the HP site and noticed they had a
fix for an HP problem that arose as a result of SP1. I
wasn't having any problems but downloaded and used it
anyway. Still not having problems so I don't know how
badly this fix is needed.

SP1RcvryFix.exe is the fix. It comes in a self extracting
file - 24WWWSP1.exe.
