CD Problms!

When I am trying to burn cd or dvd disks, occasionally when I try to open
"My Computer" it will freeze until I eject the disk then all is well until I
try again. Is this a problem with the drive, disk, or the program I am
using to burn with? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well - you have laid out the plan - now test.

- Uninstall/reinstall whatever application it is you are using - make sure
you have all the latest patches for it from the manufacturer...
- Try a different CD/DVD disc. Try a different brand even.
- Try a new drive - either buy one or borrow one from another system
temporarily.

I'd also check that you have the latest chipset drivers for your system from
the Motherboard Manufacturer followed by checking for the latest firmware
for your burner...
