Can one fix the following problem. I have a CD with some text file in
different forms: txt, html, rar, zip, doc and so on. It had been writing on
my computer with Windows XP for some time and then at one moment I was not
able to write or read the disk. Windows Explorer gives no remarks, simply CD
ROM starting and starting. In the Command Prompt regime I have "The disk
structure is corrupted and unreadable" though CD Check application found the
disk is OK. Today I've tried the Total Commander that reads CD and all its
files without any problem. Hurray, Total Commander! But I like to use
Windows Explorer without any additional applications. So help me if you can!

Is the CD readable using Explorer on another computer? If not then perhaps
the TOC (table of contents is damaged). If so you should try to copy the
files off using Total Commander which seems to be reading the disk and then
rewrite them to another disk.

You may also want to check here http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320174

Yes, it is readable with Windows Explorer on another computer with Windows
98SE, but not on the third computer with Windows XP Home.
