cd player cannot read final cd output

my movie was saved to cd succesfully. but when i tried to play it back in my cd player, the movie did not play. the cd player was able to identify the vcd format, but no track numbers were displayed and no movie was played. is there a limitation with regards to the vcd format or compatibility with cd players? this is very disappointing. days of hardwork and tons of imagination gone to waste... thanks in advance to anyone who could help me play my masterpiece for public viewing.
 
I'm assuming you mean DVD player when trying to play it
back... MM2 movies on discs are in WMV format and do not
play on any of the current players. See the CD Burning
section of www.papajohn.org to see more about this and
what software others are using to burn VCDs and SVCDs.
