It will be stuck on the outside of your PCs case on a Certificate of
Authenticity label.

It's a requirement of the OEM license that your vendor sticks it there, so
if it's gone somebody has peeled it off.

If you can't find the key, you will need to contact Dell. Microsoft has no
support liability for OEM software.

Hi Rik
The Windows product key should be shown on a certificate of authenticity
sticker on one side of your computers case. If your unable to find it you
should contact Dell customer support.

If you still can't find it after those other two
suggestions, there is a file out there that is a CD-KEY
generator. Use Kazaa Lite (no ads), and do searches
on "Windows XP CD-Key", or other variations thereof. The
correct file is one that "Searches" your computer for the
cd-key. What it does is randomly computes cd-keys until
a valid one is generated, and then stops. You can set it
to do 100 searches for 1 cd key, and it generates 100
times, and generally, it takes about 10 minutes for it to
actually generate a cd-key that's valid, because the
first several won't be valid... that's just because of
the chances! It creates a log file so you can view the
key later. And it REALLY WORKS. I used it myself, and I
didn't know how to use it at first, but once I read the
readme file, I had a valid cd-key within 15 minutes after
2 days of searching (lol I came across this same program
at least a dozen times and going "grr.. not this one
again... I DON'T HAVE ANY CD-KEYS ON MY COMPUTER!" hahaha
little did I know what it actually does...)

P.S. I can send it to you through e-mail if you wish...
