CD is not recognized as recordable

My problem is not the same as others. The CD itself is not being
recognized to record onto. I checked the driver's registry, and it is
set fine. I tried at both 2 and 3 for the drive type setting, but the
CD is still not being recognized. Help!

Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>Dvd/Cdrom
Drives. Rt click your drive and choose
Uninstall. Restart and let WinXP reinstall it. Go into MyComputer>rt
click your cdrw drive icon and select Properties>Recording. Check box Enable
CD Recording on this drive if not. Click Apply Ok.
