Windows XP CD / DVD drives on Dell XP stopped working.

Hi, my two CD / DVD drives on my Dell XP Mc have stopped working.

They do not appear in the explorer.

I have done the usual via ‘Device Manager’ where they appear with the yellow warning asterisk, but nothing I do via this route gets them working.

Any help much appreciated.
