Have a Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-348B drive.

Rarely play a DVD but on just playing one (recorded off TV here in UK.) got
a message I have never seen before. Said I had to change country code and
prompted me to do so - worked Ok. But also said I have only 2 more
opportunities to change it .

Having gone in to PC system find that Samsung will only allow a limited
number of changes. No country code was set so set it for UK.

Now says that there was only ONE more change allowed after that I cannot do
any more and it will remain fixed.

Never set or changed anything before - never had such a message

What's all this about???

Thanks Harry,

Mine came as part of a standard Dell Uk purchase - should it do this?

Yes read here http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/rpc-2.cfm . You can
get firmware updates that will hack out the RPC for your specific DVD device
but be cautious about doing that. Instead use AnyDVD to watch DVDs on your
computer if they tell you that you don't have the right regional code.
