CD / DVD burning software for Vista

My CD/DVD drive came with version 6.6.1.4 of the "Nero OEM Suite" that
handles CD and DVD burning. This works fine, but is not Vista-friendly.
The Nero Web site (http://www.nero.com//enu/Upgrade_InfoPage.php) offers for
$64 an upgrade to Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced, some parts of which are
"certified for Windows Vista".

I was perfectly happy with the XP Nero OEM Suite for my simple DC and DVD
writing needs, but it looks like the suggested upgrade is to a product with
far more features and such features have a way of cluttering up a system.
Furthermore, only parts of the product are ready for Vista. Since I will be
doing a clean install to Vista I have no particular need to remain with
something from the Nero line.

Does anyone have recommendations of CD / DVD writing software that is ready
for Vista and meets my modest needs? Are the CD / DVD writing capabilities
that come with Vista worth using?

I currently use Nero 7.7.5
You'll have to pay if you want to upgrade from version 6 though.
It's a free upgrade for those who already have version 7.

Are you happy with how 7.7.5 works?
Do you have to install the parts you don't need?

If you select Custom when you install, they give you a tree list of all the
items available to install.
If you only want the main Burning program, you can install just that.
If you want everything, you can do that too!
If you go with Typical install, then it will give you what most people would
install.
