CD drives wont work

i was playing a game and the comp just randomly restarted does it occasionly and when it started up again there were no cd drives shown and it says the "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" does anyone no whats wrong??

Hi there,

This temporary glitch can resolved by downloading and
installing a tiny patch from the following URL,visit:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts/xp_cd_dvd_fix.vbs

Usage: Download the file to your computer and simply
double-click it so that it would automatically get
installed. Norton anti-virus software might warn you of
a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script
Safe" or similar technology enabled. I recommend you to
choose "Authorize entire script" option next Action.
