I recently upgraded to Win XP Home edition. I previously
had Win ME. Win Me was working great. Now that I've
upgraded the CD-rom drives do not work. They are in the
device mgr and also are listed in my computer etc. When
a disc is inserted XP will recognize the disc and what
kind of media but will not play. The drives are not
accessable. If I click on my computer and then one of
the CD-drives then it will just sit there with the hour
glass until I ctr-alt-delete to get out of it. I did
remove them from the device mgr and unplugged them and
started Xp and shut down and restarted again with them
plugged in and XP recognizes them and installs the
drivers. But they still can't be accessed by XP. Any
solutions or thoughts.

Thanks.
