I routinely copy files to CD-RW using Roxio by selecting
files and selecting copy function. But if I want to
simply right click on file and Send To D Drive (my CD
Drive)this Drive is no longer available. Is there a way
to restore this function?

Place a shortcut to the drive into the C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\{username}\SENDTO folder.

If the problem has recently occurred you could try using System Restore to
roll back to a date when the system was running properly. Go to Start->Help
and Support->Pick a task->click on the System Restore link.

And you may want to check the CD drive's properties and go to the Recording tab. Make sure the built in CD burning features are enabled.

Mark,

Is your drive recognized as CD-RW drive? If so, the entry should be present in SendTo by default. If not, open Registry Editor and set Drive Type value to 2:

CD-R Drive or CD-RW Drive Is Not Recognized As a Recordable Device.:
