CD Drive Inaccessible

I get an Incorrect Function error message that states F:\
is not accessible whenever I try to open a Write Folder
to CD thru WindowsXP Home.
I do not have Roxio or EasyCD creator installed and this
has only started recently... after the most current WinXP
upgrades have been installed.

I can use Prassi s/w to write audio/data CDs with no
problem. Why can't I get the standard XP write to CD work?
