Steve

I recently uninstalled some CD burning software. Now my "D" drive
disappeared. It seems that my PC/Windows no longer thinks it has a CD drive.

When I click "My computer" only drive "C" is visible..."D" (my CD) is no
longer listed. I've tried using System Restore (rolled it back 3 days) --
but the drive still isn't there. Ive also gone through "add hardware"
wizard...no luck.

Any suggestions on how I can get Windows to recognize my PCs cd drive?

That happened to me after I installed Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5.1 Platinum.
Except in my case, both my DVD burner and CD writer disappeared. I had to
go to Roxio's site and download a patch for WinXP. After installing it,
everything was working and back to normal.
