cd drive and loading of multiple disks

My cd drive will load the first of several disks for a program; but , it will
hang up on the second disk. It happens with all multidisk programs.The
programs do load on other computers and the cd drive on this computer, which
is new, checks OK. There must be a Microsoft issue
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't be so quick to blame Microsoft. I know it's convenient, but it's
usually not MS's fault.

Are you getting any kind of error messages from these programs? If so, what
are they? When you say the programs load on other computers, does that mean
using the same discs that don't work on yours? When you say your new cd
drive checks OK, what check did you do? Did you properly install these
programs? Are these programs games or something else (or, what are these
programs)? Are you running any other programs that might be interfering? Do
you have only 1 CD drive or 2 (or more)? What is your CD drive's
manfacturer and model number? When you say hang, does Windows become
unresponsive or just this program?

Can you provide more specific and detailed information?
