Please help,
I am using "Roxio Easy CD & DVD creator 6 Platinum" with
XP Home. All worked well untill I downloaded and
installed an update to the "Creator Classic engine".
Now, when I try to Copy music CD's It will write to the
hard drive then, says writing table of content. After
about two minutes a message says, an error has occured
and can't write CD. When I closed Roxio, my Lite-on
rewrite drive burn lite stays on. (red light) I
uninstalled Roxio and Nero software and re-booted. The
burn lite is still on. Then I "Restored to an earlier
date and again re-booted. Still the burn lite is on.
any help will be greatly appreciated. George Koger
PS: Will appreciate an email reply too.

Conflict. Nero and Roxio do not like to co-exist on the same setup.

Un-install the lot. Re-boot. Then, if you want to keep Nero (which I
suggest) do the following :

Right click on My Computer > Manage > Services & Applications > Services >
disable IMAPI CR Burning ROM Service > Apply > OK > and then re-boot.

Install Nero and you should have no more problems. If you want to keep
Roxio, do the same procedure.

Cheers,
Jerry

.
Thanks for the info. Jerry, however, as I stated, I have
uninstalled both Roxio and Nero and the burn light stays
on all the time the computer is on. I even went
to "Device Manager" and uninstalled the drive but, the
light still shines. Any suggestions? Thanks again.
George
