CD burning programs freezes

I've been trying to run a cd burning program on win 2k. I loaded roxio
ezcreator5, and when I start the program it will open to the menu selection
pop-up. I then select a task and then the program freezes, and then my
windows will not allow me to end task. then my explorer fails. I can not
un-install thereafter. I was then forced to re-install win 2k and I then
installed another brand of cd burning from pinnicle, and same thing happened.
I had to re-install (fresh) win 2k!!. What is happening? These programs work
on XP, and on 98se. How can I install 2 OS (win 2k ans win XP on the same
pc??)

Are you sure both Apps are win2k compatible, eg there is an update for
roxio5 to ensure compatibility with win2k.
It is unlikely that this app not working would have needed a win2k install,
I assume you tried to uninstall from add/remove dialogue, tried uninstall in
safe mode etc.
