CD Burning Problem

I can't seem to burn CD's either photo's or music. This
has just suddenly happened. I have got several pre-
installed burning packages (Microsoft,Roxio, RealOne etc)
they go through the motions then eject the CD saying
an "error has occurred, check the CD's not full etc.

Occasionally the rewrite drive will just keep on running
and the PC will lock-up. I've run a virus scan and all
seems OK. Any help would be appreciated 'cos I've spent
hours scanning photo's and recording tracks that I don't
want to lose!

306319, 314096> they all refer to troubleshooting CD
