I am unable to burn wav files to a disc.It goes through
the motions to the point where it converts the files and
then attempts to copy. Then it all shuts down. Earlier I
was able to "burn" but the discs had no actual music on
them. Now it is at the point where it won't go that far.
I tried changing the burn speed to no avail. HELP!!!

Well, there's this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;306319 If you
scroll through the posts in this newsgroup you'll see that quite a number of
people have problems using WMP to burn CDs. Have a look at the other
answers and links that were provided to those people to see if anything is
helpful to you.

The other option is to use WMP as a player, but use separate software for
burning. You must surely have some burning software which came with your CD
burner- probably either EasyCD Creator or Nero. Both work great and are
very easy to use.

Regards,
Ian.

I had the same problem. I used the "Sound Record" to
creae my *.wav file. Windows Media Play would load it,
ant it appeared to be playing, but no sound.

My solution:
I found if I used My Computer to locate the *.wav file
and then with the right mouse key, dragged the *.wav file
to Windows Media Play, it played OK. I then clicked on
the stop button. I then recorded to an audio CD, and it
worked. (e-mail address removed)
