What's been the groups experience/recommendations for CD burning in Vista?
I am in the middle of copying a bunch of MP3 files to CD for my weekly
commute and Vista is doing it at a whopping 2X.

Yes, the latest version of Nero 7 works fine, apart from the ImageDrive
virtual drive component. Nero has always been a favourite of mine, but I am
not keen on most of the extra stuff that gets bundled with it these days.

Dale,

The 2x is Default for highest play back sound resolution, and remaims Burned
on the CD much longer compared to higher Burn Rates, your CDs, your decision.

Synapse Syndrome spewed out this bit, and i'll scatter a few bits myself:

Ok, so then what's the trick ? Every time I've installed the shite it's
messed my perfectly good install up. By messed up, I mean, I can browse to a
folder full of por...erm family video's and I have no thumbnail view. And
most of the time I get the COM Surrogate Error. From there, a system restore
is in order.

I've held off installing it again for this very reason. So, fess up, what's
the trick ? If it involves leaving some of the extra shite out, that's fine.
As I, like you, hate the extra crap.

I've got Nero 7, Ulead DVD Movie Factory 5 Plus and Cyberlink Power2Go all
working on my system. The choice is yours!

Not trying to be smark alek - but use MP3 player instead - much faster and
easier and very cheap these days.
