I'm wondering if a new XP Update has created a problem for me in burning
CDs? I could always burn both R and RW for data. Just recently I've had
problems burning data to R or RW. I'm using the XP internal burning
program, but now I can't burn data to Rs -- or at least it seems that way --
but I have been able to read one later that I thought hadn't burned. With
Rs it follows all the way through as if it is burning and finalizing, but
then it won't eject, and I can't read it afterward.
Same with RW, although I finally did get one to burn to a RW. Then I tried
formatting the RW and now it just sits and shudders (screen flickers) after
I put that RW in, in preparation for burning. I have to reboot to eject
(can't even put a paperclip in to eject) -- and then sometimes the data is
there on the CD. I give up? BTW, I've even tried a quick reformat and a
long reformat on the RW CD. Pulling my hair out,
