CD autorun problem.....

Dear, Gentlemen!
Please advise me any reason of the problem with autorun CD in Win XP Home +
SP1, unfortunately few weeks ago this feature became unable, previously
(about one year ago) I had the same problem but after long period without
internet connection, the problem disappeared by itself, may be something
wrong in any Dirrectory with temp explorer files. I have laptop Compaq
Presario 2700 EA with two CD-RW and DVD drives. CD-RW drive is Future Bay
system, so I could change It with 3'1/2 drive. All tiks about autorunfor CD
is able in the drives properties. Please advise me any reason of autorun
disabling.

You're dealing with gentleMEN and WOMen here; this is peer support -
folks just like yourself.

Nothing usefull in that links.
All off them assume that no ticks in the properties of CD :-(
 
I'm clarifying my question, problem with "Autoplay" function. After
inserting new CD in the drive, system does not offer to open the disk by
Explorer, to play by Win Media and so on. I don't know the cause of this.
Plese help!
