Do not know where else to ask this question so my apologies if this is
the wrong place.

Howver, my question is this. I have a colour CCTV camera that was being
thrown away at work so they gave it to me. It is an MVD CCD with a co-
ax socket at the rear. Is it possible to use a serial to co-ax
converter cable and use the camera as a web cam?

If so what software would I need?

Thanks

A better description of the camera might help, but with a coax jack on
the back I suspect it's an analog output, needs a bit more than just
an adapter cable, perhaps a tuner/capture card. It might help to
examine the actual equipment that used this camera, or at least get
some specs from manufacturer's website or Google search it.

Any way you look at the problem, you're better off just buying a
webcam, IMO.
