Tom, Just a little more on CCleaner but my post went below to Ad-Aware
And Always Thanks. Ron

Hi Ron,

Quote:
and Trend Micro's House Call found :Trojan.Win32.small.ga.
Yes as you see i've been doing alot of scanning today.

I am a Trend Beta tester also, test the 2008 version's for XP at the
moment, so I am always on Trend protection! ;)
The 2008 pro version has also a System restore function at boot up, able
to boot in several versions in the backup or just the last good.
Also: Remote file lock, a map on the PC with a password that can be
locket or unlocked via Trend and by logging on the Trend site if your
PC/Notebook is stolen, normal access by right clicking the icon and open
with the password.
Also: System tuner, Checks hard disk for recoverable space, Checks the
system registry for unused entries,Identify programs and services that
load at startup and consume system memory, List tracking cookies and
sites in your browser history.
Making a restore point before action!
Also: Transaction protector, for if you use a wireless router, also with
a virtual keyboard, so no key loggers that can track you.
So a lot of nice things.

Trojan.Win32.small.ga is a bad one!!!
Hope you really got rid of it!
Let me know!

Tom, House Call said the Trojan was sucessfully removed. Now i'm going to
scan with all the big name on-line scanners. Can you recommend a next move ?
Very surprised AVG and Spybot didn't pick this one up. Ron

did you try superantispyware?

Robin after your post a week or so ago i did install SAS but somehow it was
damaged by a system restore the next day so i just haven't re-installed yet.
I want to get another free AS to add to my arsenal but i'm looking for one
with
a good RTP.
