Hey thanks for the CCleaner release heads-up, but I noticed at the fileHippo
site, which CCleaner uses for some software distribution is also...
Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.615 Beta as well as...
Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.614 Beta
Microsoft AntiSpyware 1.0.613 Beta
Now this is sort of bogus since we all know those versions are expired and in
here we've seen a few old versions being currently installed, but on top of
that, there is no Window's Genuine Validation process before downloading the
file. Now that doesn't bother me too much... But what about Ms? And
considering that the new Beta and eventual final release can't be that far off,
is Ms planning to also Validate the updates? I can see a thousand people coming
here and asking why they can't update if that's the case. What I can't imagine
is that Ms is going to allow third party distribution to continue after the
final release. Just wondering how they'll handle it...
