CCC 7.11 Same for HD & X series?

I've ordered an HD3870 to replace an X1950XT. It appears that both cards use
the same CCC 7.11 for XP. So, can I just pull out the XT and install the
3870 without having to uninstall and reinstall CCC? Thanks!
 
The driver installer, upon detecting the card, probably toggles a few
settings specific to each line of cards. So do it properly: uninstall the
driver, pull the X1950, install the 3870, and reinstall the driver. You will
save a lot of potential headaches.

Thanks. The card will arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to play Company of
Heroes in its full glory.
