catz 5 is not compatable with direct x9

Is it possible to instsll xp sp2 without directx 9?
My daughter's favorite game loses sound after update sp2
 
Instead of that, have you tried reinstalling or updating your sound drivers?
DirectX 9.0c is backward compatible, so you should be seeing no difference
in that area.
