Well I got the dreaded Error 101 and thought I found a fix that worked on
here.

Run gcasDtServ.exe in Microsoft Antispyware Folder and it fixes the program
and makes it run on my computer. XP Pro SP2. Note, no other fixes worked.

However, it breaks the Windows Firewall. Oh there is a fix to get the
firewall going again, however it then breaks Antispyware throwing up error
101 again.

Running gcasDtServ fixes the antispyware, but trying to re-enable Windows
Firewall breaks it again. Nice Catch 22.

Colin,

Can you try the following to fix the 101 error:

Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

Thanks!
