How often does ATI release updated catalyst drivers? Do any leaked beta
drivers ever become available?

To answer your question, ATI releases updated drivers each month. The
number scheme represents year/month.

I would also like to plug Omegas driver set that is a modified version
of the offical ones. He updates them about one week after the
officials hit the net. I use his EXCLUSIVELY.
