Catalyst Control Center?

I just download the bare drivers and not CCC.
I have loaded the CCC before but found that it was a resource hog.

Am I missing anything by not DL'ing it?

I found ATI Tray Tools is less obtrusive and does the same and more.

I'm doing the exact same thing. ATI Tray Tools has more features, and as you
say takes up less resources. I haven't had a single problem by not
installing CCC.
