Catalyst 4.2: no more gamma control from applications...

WinXP and Radeon 9800XT
I just installed the Catalyst 4.2
No problems,but...
But when I try to modify the Adobe Gamma and/or the Power DVD Gamma
settings, using their "sliders" I simply cannot do it.
On the contrary I can adjust all the gamma settings using Control Panel and
the ATI applets (Color settings and Overlay).
Re-installing the 4.1 solves the problem.
Anyone else has this problem?
