Hello,

How I can erase catalogues of the NTBackup in a Windows 2003 Server
Enterprise Edition from the command line (command.com)? or How I can mark
some option of the NTBackup so that they do not keep?
Thanks,
Oscar

PD: No problem with logs.

Do not use command.com. It is the 16 bit console.

From CMD.EXE, you can delete catalogs from

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\catalogs51"

Where All Users.WINDOWS is the appropriate all users folder.

When I delete catalogs from directory catalogs51, only it cleans the
catalog's list of NTBackup to File. The catalog's list of NTBackup to Tape
remains. How I can erase this catalog's list?

Thanks,
Oscar

It is somewhere around

\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\Catalogs.

** Before delete catalog51:
NTBackup / Restore:
[+] File
[+] Backup 09/10/2005 9:25
[+] Backup 10/10/2005 9:25
[+] Backup 11/10/2005 9:25

[ ] Backup created 12/10/2005 9:25
It's, the catalog's list of NTBackup to File it clean.
And the catalog's list of NTBackup to Tape it remain, but the plus
disappears. The content of catalog does not remember for NTBackup, but it
remember the list of tape name of backup. I would want to erase the
catalog's list.

Thanks,

Thanks Jerold.

Finally I will choose to delete the catalog51's directory and add the
parameter /n "Backup" to the command NTBackup.

With this parameter the catalog's list of NTBackup to Tape not increase
(because repeat the same name "Backup").

Thank you very much!!
