And there's still a control panel version of them OH YEA :)

I'm not sure, bandit, but AFAIK ATM the Control Panel will continue
'till the end of the 5.xs. It'll go in the Catalyst 6 series.

Don't take this as gospel, but here's hoping it lasts that long. I
certainly won't be bothering with CC drivers for a long time yet...

Lets hope they keep control panel version of drivers for a lot longer
than that :) I would hate to have to go to a nvidia card when this
X800 of mine gets old haha

Then the latest note about Omega's next ATI Driver Package
will be somewhat disappointing. It's on his home page IIRC.

Crap news alright. I was hoping that even when ATI dropped the CP for the
CCC Omega's would still support it as he had his own version.

So on the same day, Omega goes CCC-only and cease development on nVidia
drivers. ATi either strong-armed him or paid him a lot of money. :-)

Does that mean that people no longer need to click those banners? :-)

I was thinking along those lines myself. Didn't the poor guy get some
grief from ATI earlier on?

Did everyone suddenly forget that Omega doesn't "WRITE" drivers... He
only modifies what ATI puts out. Someday everyone will learn that the
only writing of ATI drivers is by ATI. Several groups modify the
default settings and disperse these modified drivers, but no one
writes their own.
