Hi guys,
in order to get higher refresh rates, I've tried the ATI Refresh Rate
tool, which, almost as expected, didn't work - doh.
So, I searched for the Registry and modifed the parameters myself. In
my Windows 2000 SP4 I found the DALLargeDesktopModesBCD parameter in
HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\Settings
and
HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001\Settings
and modified the 60Hz minimum frequency specified there to 85Hz. And it
worked, I now have 85Hz in N2k3 @ 1280x960x32 and in Lock On - Modern
Air Comabt (Lomac) I have 85Hz @ 1024x768x32, as intended.
However, IL2-FB, at the same 1024x768x32 resolution as Lomac, sticks
to 60Hz and I don't know why.
The fact that Lomac now runs at 85Hz shows that I've set this res to a
minimum of 85Hz, so where does IL2-FB get the 60Hz from? 60Hz shouldn't
even be an allowed frequency anymore at this resolution?
Can anyone shed some light on where I need to look to fix this?
TIA
